The study program aims to form specialists able to identify the opportunities of the economic hour, of the potential of regional development and to participate in decision-making from a financial point of view at public and private level.
The necessity for such a study program lies in the continuous need for business experts ready to face competitive challenges from the common market and to continuously improve the policies of sustainable economic growth, both in terms of responsible public institutions and private entities.
The general skills that M.A. students can acquire after obtaining the diploma are:

gaining advanced knowledge in the field of financial management and interdisciplinary approach to business operations to ensure the possibility of offering consulting services necessary in supporting financial decisions

a thorough knowledge of financial management specific theories, models, mechanisms and tools

the extension to a superior level of the capacity to design and rationalize

acquiring some skills of intelligent use of advanced tools from the field of financial management

The speciality skills that M.A. students can acquire after obtaining the diploma are:

knowing the elements concerning doctrine and professional ethics as well as how the profession is organized and carried out;

synthesizing, deepening and using concepts in the financial field, having an interdisciplinary approach towards economic transactions in order to develop and substantiate financial decisions

the ability to analyze and interpret specific problems of financial management and to substantiate decisions based on financial and economic information;

development, at an operational level, of a thorough vision on financial management in the context of enforcing the European directives and of international financial reporting standards;

developing skills in the consulting field for public and private audit activities;

developing the capacity of analysis, synthesis and independent interpretation of financial information

the capacity to cognitively and professionally apply the concepts, theories and methods of financial investigation.
Studied subjects: Research Methodology, compared financial accounting systems , public and private portfolio management, strategic management of public administration, European Public Policy, International finance, accounting and financial expertise, The diagnosis and assessment of the company, financial markets and commodity markets, Doctrine and Professional Ethics , taxation and fiscal policy, Refined Financial Accounting, Financial- accounting Audit, economic and financial policies, Management of banking and financial risks, management of I.T. systems.
Within the curricula specialized internships have been included during the Ist academic years for 3 weeks, totaling 90 hours, at the end of the second semester The internship takes place in public and private commercial companies, institutions, etc. in accord with agreements concluded between them and the university, documents which state: the target of practice, the place and time-frame of practice, the manner of organization and guidance, those responsible etc. The evaluation of this work is done by oral examination, based on the theme of the discipline sheet.
The faculty has its own specialized laboratories (I.T. labs, multimedia) with proper equipment for all disciplines who have scheduled such activities, with license for all necessary software, which enable the carrying out of the disciplines in the curriculum under optimal conditions.
The Library of the University respectively that of the faculty is equipped with lecture halls and its own book collection according to the disciplines provided in the curricula, on university study cycles, the needed resources for carrying out the activity being provided in the income and expenditure budgets. Furthermore, within the library, students receive free online access for all the national and international databases.
