The actuality and importance of the study program is given by the place and role of rigorous, ethical and efficient management of financial fund in the strategy for development of businesses on the European common market.
The competitive environment creates the preconditions for development and positive evolution of those companies that adapt to the diverse requirements of such a market. Attracting and efficient management of funds of a variety directly proportionate with the complexities of economical and social relationships present in the European space calls for specialists able to correctly identify funding opportunities and to take appropriate decisions.
The M.A. study program has the following general objectives:

to provide appropriate training from a theoretical and practical point of view concerning the substantiation of decisions specific to the activity of business financial management in the European space

to deepen their expertise from the B.A. cycle and to develop practical skills for processing financial information specific to business management in the European Union
-
to create the prerequisites for skills development for research activities and for the capacity for critical analysis of quantitative and qualitative approaches of processes and activities in the field of business financial management in the European space

to permit the permanent mastering of techniques, methods and new instruments for business financial management
The speciality skills that M.A. students can acquire after obtaining the diploma in this speciality are:

knowing the elements concerning doctrine and professional ethics as well as how the profession is organized and carried out;

synthesizing, deepening and using concepts in the financial field, having an interdisciplinary approach towards economic transactions in order to develop and substantiate financial decisions

the ability to analyze and interpret specific problems of business financial management and to substantiate decisions based on financial and economic information;

development, at an operational level, of a thorough vision on business financial management in the European space, in the context of enforcing the European directives and of international financial reporting standards;

developing skills in the consulting field for private audit activities;

developing the capacity of analysis, synthesis and independent interpretation of financial information

the capacity to cognitively and professionally apply the concepts, theories and methods of financial investigation.
Subjects studied: research methodology, expertise and ethics in business management, financial and banking management in the market economy, business risk management, financial and accounting standards and European directives, European Economic Forecast, economic and financial assessment of business, mathematical modeling in financial management and audit, electronic business, Systems of European financing, Statutory audit, Investment strategies on financial markets, Business-simulation games, Business Law in the European financial environment, Fiscal system and financial European policy, European and international Standards for financial complience, Financial and monetary European policies.
Within the curricula specialized internships have been included during the Ist academic years for 3 weeks, totaling 90 hours, at the end of the second semester The internship takes place in public and private commercial companies, institutions, etc. in accord with agreements concluded between them and the university, documents which state: the target of practice, the place and time-frame of practice, the manner of organization and guidance, those responsible etc. The evaluation of this work is done by oral examination, based on the theme of the discipline sheet.
The faculty has its own specialized laboratories (I.T. labs, multimedia) with proper equipment for all disciplines who have scheduled such activities, with license for all necessary software, which enable the carrying out of the disciplines in the curriculum under optimal conditions.
The Library of the University respectively that of the faculty is equipped with lecture halls and its own book collection according to the disciplines provided in the curricula, on university study cycles, the needed resources for carrying out the activity being provided in the income and expenditure budgets. The curriculum for Bachelor level studies, with a three year duration, together with the M.A. program, empowers our graduates to be able to follow the ensuing career paths: Manager in the field of Financial Economics, Financial manager, University teacher, Expert Accountant, Researcher, Financial Consultant, Financial Analyst, Inspector in the management of EU funds, Expert in the management EU funds, Consultant / Expert of regional / national authority of EU funds
