Students’ Employability and Entrepreneurship. Priorities that Reunited the Universities in South Korea

Promoting the student employability and entrepreneurship are issues of major interest for the global academia. The topics have brought together leaders of dozens of universities from eighteen states at the 12th - edition of the General Conference of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) with the theme: The role of universities in promoting employability of students and entrepreneurship, the event that took place on 7-9 November in South Korea, Daegu Health College.

andy prezidiuThe Rector of "Danubius" University, Associate Professor Andy PUŞCĂ, PhD, represented, as a member of the executive board of AUAP, the interests of higher education in Romania. He stressed on the need to permanently adapt the universities to the global market, the binding role that an entrepreneurial university should fulfill between different companies and the need for entrepreneurial study programs. A year ago, at the meeting occasioned by the celebration of 20 years of AUAP, an event held in Thailand, at the International University of Technology in the Suranaree, in the city Nakhon Ratchasima, Mr. Rector, in his speech, predicted the theme of the current edition of the AUAP Conference, he drew attention to the entrepreneurial model and business approach, which every university must adopt in order to be successful.

On this occasion, "Danubius" University signed a new partnership for international cooperation with the Lyceum of the Philippines University.

We should mention that the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) is a non-governmental organization established 21 years ago, in order to become a valuable platform for interaction and cooperation between its members for debating and for finding solutions to problems that the higher education is facing in a globalized world.
