International Relations and European Studies

Through this program the Danubius University takes the mission of preparing specialists, researchers and leaders in the management field from the East and South-East regions of the country, getting involved in debates and society projects, in shaping a new frame of development in a European context.

The professional skills that the graduate students can obtain after gaining their Bachelor’s diploma are:

  • Basic use of the international relations theories in the study of European and international cases
  • Elaborating European and international projects
  • Using methods of analysis in the field of international relations and European affairs
  • Projecting strategies in the field of international relations and European affairs
  • Assistance in the field of international negotiations and mediations between groups with different interests
  • Assistance in relation management within organizations and institutions that are involved in European and international cases

Some of the subjects studied within this program are: Foreign policy and diplomacy, Negotiation and mediation in international relations, The sociology of international relations, International law, European culture and civilization, Diplomatic and consular law, European law, European institutions, Introduction in political science.

The study curriculum includes stages of specializing practice during the second year of study, 4 weeks, and summing 120 hours at the end of the second semester.

Management Assistance and Secretariat

Through this program the Danubius University takes the mission of preparing specialists, researchers and leaders in the management field from the East and South-East regions of the country, getting involved in debates and society projects, in shaping a new frame of development in a European context.

The professional competences that the graduate students can obtain after gaining their Master’s diploma are:

  • Using basic concepts and principles of organizing and operating administrative structures for professional insertion in public and/or private institutions
  • Identifying and applying legal dispositions regarding the administrative system, including initiating and formulating law and/or administrative proposals
  • Oral and written communication, in the language used by the study program and an international language, of messages that are structured with reference to a specialized issue
  • Applying techniques and procedural tools that are specific for secretary and management assistance activities by using information and communications technology (ICT)
  • Using the necessary special knowledge in organizing different professional manifestations
  • Elaborating, implementing and evaluating programs and different projects, including raising European funds

Some of the subjects studied within this program are: Sociology and logics, Public functionary ethics, Correspondence and secretary techniques, the Sociology of organizations, Organizational psychology, HR Management, Protocol and public relations. The study curriculum includes stages of specializing practice during the second year of study, 4 weeks, and summing 120 hours at the end of the third semester.

  • Administrative assistant, who, among other things, assists the Head of Unit in communication problems, documentation and/or coordination of the internal management of an administrative unit,

Communications and Public Relations

Through this program the Danubius University takes the mission of preparing specialists, researchers and leaders in the management field from the East and South-East regions of the country, getting involved in debates and society projects, in shaping a new frame of development in a European context.

In order to answer these major components of the new field, the curriculum that we offer our students, through professors that are extremely competent in the field, is in accordance with everything that is happening today on a national and international level, which makes such a graduate diploma recognised, through transferable credits, anywhere in the world.

The professional competences that students can obtain after gaining their Bachelor’s diploma are:

  • Identifying and using the specialized language, methodologies and knowledge from the field of communication sciences
  • Using new information and communication technologies (NICT)
  • Identifying and using strategies, communication methods and techniques in the process of public relations
  • Achieving and promoting a product of public relations
  • Specialized assistance in the management of crisis communication and/or the mediation of communication conflicts

Some of the subjects studied within this program are: Crisis communication, International public relations, Regional public relations, Editing materials of public relations, Applied semiotics, Communication law, The philosophy of the culture, Communication and public relations in political organizations.

The study curriculum includes stages of specializing practice during the second year of study, 4 weeks, and summing 120 hours at the end of the second semester.

Graduates of this Bachelor’s program may have carriers such as: specialist in public relations, mediator, spokesman, brand manager, protocol organizer, markets and exhibitions organizer, trainer, training organizer/consultant, assessor of professional competences, political communication consultant, specialist in online public relations, and specialist in press communication.

Trade, Tourism and Service Econmy

The mission of this program is to train specialists in the field, in conformity with the requirements of Romania’s integration to the European Union, the changes that arise in the real economy, on the domestic market and inside a globalized frame.

The specialized competences gained by the graduates after obtaining the Bachelor’s degree are:

  • Knowing, understanding and using basic concepts, theories, principles and methods of investigation and prospecting specific to tourism and trade;
  • Assimilating and deepening strictly specialized knowledge such as: tourism and service management, the strategy of sustainable development of services, agritourist, logistics of trade and tourism companies, the organization and strategy of developing touristic units;
  • Knowing, understanding and applying methods and techniques of evaluating and certifying the quality of products and services;
  • Training the capacity to develop opportunity studies in the economic environment context for the foundation of public policies in the field of trade, tourism and services;
  • Knowing, understanding and applying the principles that are specific to managing the quality of an organization/system level and of economic process;
  • The foundation from a commercial and qualitative point of view of design, of launching new products and services on the market.

Studied subjects:Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Economical informatics, International marketing, Business law, Service economy, European economy, Tourism economy, Trade economy, Logistics and goods distribution and European affair environment.

Accounting and Management Informations Systems

The mission of this program is to prepare specialists in the field, in conformity with the demands of Romania entering the EU, the changes that interfere in the real economy, on the domestic market and inside a globalized frame.

We assure entirely the necessary conditions also through capitalizing the experience of graduate learning in and outside the country, adapting the curriculum and the subject files to the demands implied by becoming part of the EU so that graduates of bachelor courses can thoroughly assimilate and deepen theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of Accounting in order to obtain the necessary defining knowledge, competences and skills.

The professional competences gained by graduates after obtaining their bachelor diploma are:

  • The identification and registration of economical operations in the accounting of the entity/organization
  • Using computer resources in the financial-accounting field
  • Processing information in order to prepare financial-accounting and/or tax reports
  • Determining and interpreting economic-financial indicators
  • Running operations specific for the financial-accounting control

Finance and Banking

This study program aims at forming specialists capable of identifying the opportunities of the economic moment, the regional development potential, and of participating to the decision-making process from a financial perspective on a public and private level.

The professional skills that graduates will obtain after gaining their Bachelor’s degree are:

  • Correctly using concepts, theories, methods and instruments of financial nature in the private and public entities/organizations
  • Collecting, analysing and interpreting data and information regarding economic-financial problems
  • Achieving works of an economic-financial nature on the level of private and public entities/organizations
  • Executing operations and financial transactions specific to private and public entities/organizations
  • Implementing plans and budgets on the level of private and public entities/organizations
  • Applying financial decisions within private and public entities/organizations

Some of the subjects studied within this program are: Insurance and social protection, Currency, Financial accounting, Operations of credit institutions, International financial institutions, Bank accounting, Economic-financial analysis.

Public and Private Audit and Control

This program aims at meeting the following objectives:

  • forming qualified specialists in conformity with the current requirements of the Romanian and EU job markets, promoting a set of values based on solidarity, non-discrimination, equity, scientific objectivity, creativity and dynamism;
  • providing a number of specialists in the economical field, in conformity with the national and international standards.

The specialized competences that the graduate students can obtain after gaining their Master’s diploma are:

  • Knowledge of the elements regarding the profession of auditor, that of deontologist, as well as how these professions are organized and pursued;
  • The capacity to analyse and interpret problems that are typical for the audit and the control and foundation of decisions based on accounting information;
  • The development on an operating level of a deep vision of accounting in the context of applying European directives and international standards of financial reporting;
  • The development of skills in the field of consulting for activities of public and private audit;
  • The cognitive professional capacity to apply concepts, theories and investigation methods from the fields of accounting, audit and internal control.

In this program students will study subjects such as: Financial Audit, Commercial and tax law, Accounting laws in conformity with the European directives, Financial audit standards, Statistical methods of scaling in audit, the Management and audit of European projects. The study curriculum includes stages of specializing practice during the first year of study, 3 weeks, and summing 90 hours at the end of the second semester.

Bio-Economic Management In The Context Of Sustainable Growth

This program aims at offering students the perfect environment to develop high level skills for access and mobility inside the frame of international study, to gain very good competences in communicating in at least two international languages, to get familiar with the international business environment and the European Union’s institutions and policies, professional compatibility for engaging in a big range of activities, from private internal affairs that organize foreign trading activities, to multinational companies and international institutions.

Study subjects: Current trends in international relations, International economic relations, Public relations in the international environment, World economy, Global changes, Strategies of business trading, Economical media dimensions, Business ethics in international relations.

The study curriculum includes stages of specializing practice during the first year of study, 3 weeks, and summing 90 hours at the end of the second semester.
