The academic year started at “Danubius” University with a new success story of a graduate from Faculty of Law, who managed to achieve her dream, which is to become a notary. The most difficult stage is now over, the exam for which she prepared as if it was a “job”. Now it follows the two years of internship at the Romanian Notarial Institute and then the final exam.
Teodora was eager to share this success with her colleagues, graduates from 2015, but especially students and graduates who do not dare to try, accepting to be manipulated by all kinds of indoctrination - clichés - on the exigency or correctness of this exam. Therefore, Teodora, who until recently was just a young woman, from a modest family, is now an example that deserves to be promoted because she managed to demolish the myths on how this contest is conducted.
Ana Alina Ionescu DUMITRACHE: Teodora, I know you had good results in the Baccalaureate. You remained in Galati and opted for the Faculty of Law of the “Danubius” University. What motivated you to make this choice?
Teodora - Jeanina MICU: Originally, I wanted to become a chemical engineer. I had started the Faculty of Chemistry, but I discovered that it was not what I liked. So I decided then to go to law school and so I did.
After surpassing certain barriers of perception on private higher education, I chose the Faculty of Law at the “Danubius” University as I knew a lot of graduates of the faculty who have demonstrated the opposite, by what they have become and by the positive echoes of their work: successful lawyers, well-known judges and prosecutors, Police chiefs in various departments, public notaries etc.
Ana Alina Ionescu DUMITRACHE: Why notary? When have you decided to go directly to such a profession?
Teodora - Jeanina MICU: Right in the first year of studies, as I really liked the civil law. As I went through the disciplines of this faculty and knew my professors, I realized that I had made the best choice. I was in the right place with the right people who have made me love to study.
In the first year of college I got involved. Then, because I did not have very rich parents, I had to take a job, in order to help them. I love them and I will support them unconditionally.
Ana Alina Ionescu DUMITRACHE: When did you start seriously to prepare for this exam? Do you have a special recipe that could be borrowed by other young people?
Teodora - Jeanina MICU: For me, preparing for this exam was just like a job. For seven months, waking up every morning at 6:00, having the coffee, and sitting at the table for studying. Lunch for 30 minutes and then studying again until evening. That happened every day until the exam. And so ... I was the first, with the average of 9.55. Out of 20 candidates, there have been admitted only 3 at Galati. It is a serious test and I want, in this way, to assure the future graduates of Law that, by the power of my example, a simple candidate, without the support of parents in the field, they can succeed by the knowledge gained through learning.
THE NEXT STEP IS TO WRITE A BOOK
This experience has aroused new passions for Teodora. For example, a plan for the near future is to write a book. A book for this exam with multiple choice tests. “I wish for those who prepare for this exam to have a useful verification tool.”
SOMEWHERE IN THE COUNTRY SIDE, WITH A HAPPY FAMILY. This is how the new notary trainee sees herself. Family comes first. That is why I did not want to try the National Institute of Magistracy. I would have compromised for a long time, the most precious thing I have, the family. So, the future in my mind is very simple but also very beautiful: a notary quiet life, somewhere in the country side, with a happy family.
The MORAL: law students who are thinking about the profession of notary must fight, must believe in themselves, because there is no impediment. The rumored colossal sums in order to access the status of admitted to this exam are only myths. Among the candidates of this year, there were children of well-known notaries. Unfortunately, they failed! Thus, those who enroll in this struggle, should know that they can succeed based on merit!”
Thank you, dear Teodora, for this success story and we expect to involve in your future activity the law students in order to get acquainted with this profession through hours of practice in the future notary office Teodora - Jeanina MICU, Galati.
Congratulations!
