BEST WISHES FOR THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR!

Welcoming messages full of pleasant emotions addressed by the management of the "Danubius" University opened yesterday, October 3rd, the 2016- 2017 academic year at a ceremony attended by the mayor of Galati Ionut PUCHEANU.

The freshman start one of the most beautiful periods of their life – student days and the students returning into the university were blessed by the priest Gabriel ICHIM, professor at the Faculty of Communication and International Relations of our University.

The commencement ceremony of the new academic year was opened by the Rector of this institution of higher education, Associate Professor Andy PUŞCĂ, PhD; he managed, on this occasion, to energize the audience and capture the sympathy of young students, particularly freshmen who now discover the atmosphere of the university which they have chosen.

The Founding President of “Danubius” University, Professor Benone PUŞCĂ, PhD, reminded students and guests the difficult path that the foundation history of this university has known, becoming now one of the most prestigious private higher education institutions.

Welcoming message continued, naturally, with those addressed by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs – Associate Professor Monica POCORA, PhD and Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs - Associate Professor Florian NUŢĂ, PhD.

Awarding the scholarship of merit, deserving students could not miss from the scene of the opening ceremony of the new academic year, they were nominated and congratulated by the deans of each faculty (the Faculty of Law – Senior Lecturer Ana Alina Ionescu DUMITRACHE, PhD, Faculty of Economic Sciences - Senior Lecturer Ecaterina NECŞULESCU, PhD, Faculty of Communication and International Relations - Senior Lecturer Daniela POPA TĂNASE, PhD).

The Faculty of Law had as special guests at this event successful graduates, examples to be followed by students, lawyers’ trainees who successfully passed the entrance exam to the Bar of this year: Gabriela PLEŞA and Andrei LUPU.

Associate Professor Emanuel Marinescu, PhD, Head of International Relations, had one of the most pleasant tasks: to call the roll of the students from Turkey and Greece who will study at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of our University.

The benefits of involvement in extracurricular activities in various projects by joining to European and international student associations were mentioned by the representatives of student’s economic and legal associations: AIESEC and ELSA.

 Also in the category of successful projects, on this occasion the Rector of "Danubius" University wanted to award the project Danubius Caravan, an initiative of this institution that engages every year, dozens of students convinced that they need to share to the high school students a part of the beauty of being a student.
Young spirit energy. That was felt throughout the opening event of the academic year. Inspiring energy of the academics, credibility, admiration from officials, action and involvement from students, successful stories of those who have chosen the path of this university.
